Inspired Orkney Tweed Masks - Exclusive

These 'Inspired Orkney Tweed' masks have been made exclusively for us by Orkney Tweed in collaboration as part of our own collection of timeless & stylish pieces. We love the natural colours in the 100% Orkney Wool Tweed as they are individual to the Copinsay Zwartbles sheep Nancy works with. The masks are lined with a beautiful Teal coloured lining which blends with our Inspired By Orkney colour palette. Each mask has an Orkney Tweed label of authenticity sewn on. We are enjoying wearing these masks which are very comfortable & proud to be show casing the unique & stylish Orkney Tweed. Thankyou Nancy & all!

FACT: All masks are breathable, the same size (approx 22cm across when opened fully) & have a cotton teal coloured lining. They have elastic ear loops which you can adjust for a better fit. We advise a warm hand wash or they can be machine washed on a wool cycle. Reshape while damp.

About: Orkney Tweed specialize in breeding Copinsay Zwartbles sheep and use their unique wool to hand craft tweed products including accessories, clothing & homeware by local craftspeople. Nancy bought her first 3 breeding Zwartbles from Danny McArthy who is the stockman at Longoe farm at Castle of Mey, Caithness- (The Queen Mother’s Highland Farm) (Pentland Flock ) so, to keep the theme Nancy called her flock ‘the Copinsay flock'. They are a striking looking sheep, black with a white blaze, originating from Holland. The wool is spun & woven by Jamiesons Spinning Mill in Shetland. Nancy's ultimate goal of course is to have the tweed woven in Orkney.

'I was delighted when Jo first spoke to me about collaborating with her and finding exclusive products that would suit her business, Inspired by Orkney. After a few discussions we came up with a few ideas that would work by adding a Teal lining that blended with her Inspired colour palette. The Teal colour beautifully enhances the Orkney Tweed in the pieces we chose . I am pleased to see Orkney Tweed given a different look in a business that has the love of Orkney at the heart of it.
